Salary: UCL Grade 8. The salary range will be £45,610 - £53,757 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

The Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at UCL is recognised as one of the leading Departments for research in its subject area, worldwide.

For this appointment we particularly seek candidates with experience in systems and control. We would expect the candidate to contribute to a range of teaching within the department and the faculty including but not limited to teaching control systems at undergraduate level.

The primary task of the person appointed will be to undertake world-class research in her/his area of research and contribute to the teaching programme in the Department of EEE. The appointee will be expected to perform the normal administrative duties expected of a member of academic staff as required by the Head of Department.

The Department wishes to appoint a fixed term Lecturer in Electronic Engineering to cover the maternity leave of a member of staff. The appointment is a fixed-term position for one year from 1st January 2022 - 31st December 2022. The start date is negotiable within these constraints and applications from candidates wishing to job share or work part-time are particularly welcome.

Applicants are required to have a PhD or an equivalent qualification in control or systems engineering as well as a demonstrated a track record of publishing in international journals relevant to EEE. Experience of teaching in a university environment is essential and the ability to inspire students and research staff to achieve their full potential is also of great importance to us. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are required and experience of teaching mathematically intensive courses to undergraduate students is desirable.
