Life Actuary - Consultancy

Permanent role

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum

Location: Multiple locations possible including London, Bristol and Edinburgh

(Hybrid-working)

Goodman Masson are recruiting for a life actuary to join the life actuarial team of a big 4 consultancy

This will be a brilliant opportunity to gain exposure into a variety of areas.

Key responsibilities:


- Manage a portfolio of clients
- Research and strategise to enhance business development of new and existing clients
- Problem-solve to overcome technical challenges
- Help analyse the impact that IFRS17 will have on an insurance company's balance sheet
- Problem-solve to overcome technical challenges
- Revise businesses' projections and making sure they have adequate reserves.
- Coach and mentor team members
- Manage team's activities to meet quality of work and deadlines
- Being up-to-date with the latest professional guidance, regulatory change, industry best practice and changes to the business

Key Requirements:

- Qualified life actuary (by exams and experience e.g. FIA) with UK experience
- Experience in life insurance consulting or life insurance
- Experience in IFRS, Solvency II or financial reporting is desirable
- Experience of leading a team/project is desirable

- You must be eligible to work in the UK - these rules have changed recently so when applying please state your eligibility to work in the UK. (E.g. British passport, Irish passport, ILR, settled-status, etc.)
