Job description

Master Data Manager - Sunbury on Thames - Permanent

As Master Data Manager you are accountable for the design, implementation, and maintenance of a group wide Master Data Solution. You will ensure all business functions and units' data requirements are considered. The expected outcome is a seamless flow of transactional and reference data, in-line with the Master Data Concept and the implemented Master Data Solution.

Master Data Manager Tasks & Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain a Master Data Management Solution

• Assist in the creation of Data Governance models and processes

• Assist in the creation and implementation of Change Management policies

• Standardize, develop, and optimize the data models

• Assist with the integration of Master Data into business processes

• Assist with the technical integration of Master Data

• Educate stakeholders and promote Master Data across my clients group of companies

• Develop the internal network of Data Ambassadors across the business functions

• Proactively demonstrate the enhancement of Business Intelligence through use of Master Data

• Actively create and maintain document sets

• Monitor and report the quality and use of Master Data

• Various work as required as part of the Digital Solutions Team

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer sciences or any other subject with emphasis on data engineering

Master Data Manager Professional / functional experience

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in the field of master data maintenance of a medium-sized, internationally operating company

• Preferred experience in data administration, (master)data management functions, regulatory aspects, data governance and data stewardship principles

• Experience in cross-functional project and change management

• Data modelling and database management and administration

• SQL and no-SQL management practices and relevant languages

• Experience of information security: confidentiality, integrity, availability

• Experience of data governance including designs for GDPR

• Experience of data analysis and production of BI from data lakes / warehouses

• Ability to work on own initiate and prioritize workload accordingly

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK

10 - 30% Travel involved
