WHAT YOU'LL DO
Be part of a team that is transforming BCG into a bionic company! We are in the early stages of building a multi domain Master Data Management solution that will ensure the uniformity, accuracy and accountability of enterprise wide master data assets.
The Data Architect will work as an integral part of an Agile team to design and implement the data strategy and architecture underpinning our MDM solution. The Data Architect will help design optimal solutions to support the MDM solution, employing best practices for data modelling, retention and security, as well as data brokerage between supporting systems, Other responsibilities include collaborating with the Enterprise Data Architect to enforce architectural best practices and standards, manage the overall health and roadmap of the platform.
The Data Architect will work as part of an Agile squad composed of internal and external developers, functional business partners, data stewards, software vendors and other service providers, the candidate will closely interact with colleagues in various Functional Groups, the Database Services (DBA) Group, external solution providing vendor to provide high quality data architecture that respond to and meet the business needs of the global BCG organization.

While working closely with users and providing a high level of customer service in a friendly, professional manner, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Drive the data architecture strategy and data integration design for BCG MDM solution in collaboration with the enterprise architecture.
- Define data requirements, identify source systems, map source data into master data platforms, & manage all aspects of the integration.
- Design & lead implementation of data management integration projects
- Take leads in defining data integration, storage, replication and transformation protocols for the data layer of MDM solutions supported by enterprise architecture, and based on canonical data model, API's and Mulesoft with the Informatica MDM 360 solutions
- Ensure master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality.
- Aids in assessing and resolving data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) and data stewards.
- Manages, analyses, and resolves data integration issues and manages revisions needed to best meet internal and customer requirements while adhering to published data standards.
- Work closely with the business/IT to ensure alignment of master data rules and the operations of the application meet all requirements.
- Strong analytical abilities and creative problem solving; reliability within a cooperative team environment.

- Work with project stakeholders (technical as well as end users) to understand business requirements and implement database solutions for diverse problems
- Research viable technical and/or non-technical solutions, evaluate new technology and advocate, influence, and build consensus for innovations that satisfy business needs
- Leading design and build of data integration for enterprise MDM while adhering to best practices and enterprise architecture standards.
- Design of Informatica MDM Data model and Data transformation rules to meet business needs, Experience Designing for Informatica MDM R360 and C360 SaaS preferred.
- Design of MDM Data integrations both upstream and downstream via API's, Mulesoft and Informatica IICS experience preferred.
- Assists in the application and implementation procedures of data standards and guidelines on data ownership, coding structures, and data replication to ensure access to and integrity of data sets.
- Ability to conduct data cleansing activities to improve overall data quality
- Develops and implement strategies to translate business requirements and models into feasible and acceptable MDM designs to ensure that business needs are met.
Hands on experience in Informatica MDM, MDM R360 SaaS and C360 Saas experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor's degree in information science, data management, computer science or related field preferred.
- 10+ years of IT experience with major focus on data related projects
- 7+ years of experience working with Enterprise Data Warehouse and MDM solutions
- 5+ years of experience designing and delivering Informatica MDM solutions, R360 and C360 SaaS with IICS experience preferred.
- Experience working with leading ETL/Batch data integration tooling such as Talend, Fivetran preferred
- Experience working with leading EAI tooling such as Kong, Mulesoft
- Strong understanding of database storage concepts (data lake, relational databases, NoSQL, Graph, data warehousing, S3 buckets).
- Strong Data architecture and database skills from consuming to rendering for MDM implementation, canonical data model design and build experience for data integration preferred
- Experience managing MDM development and implementation projects or significant pieces of projects
- Experience in cloud based MDM solutions strongly preferred
- In-depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles, including SDLC and CI/CD
- People management and stakeholder engagement skills are key to success
- Diverse experience in application tools, languages, and frameworks
Working closely with the MDM Solution Architect, Data Stewards and business contacts across BCG functions, DBA's, and Infrastructure teams.
