Job description

One of Europe's leading engineering consultancies is seeking a Mechanical Associate Director to join their Building Services team in their London office. Working closely with some of the best building services engineers, leading academics, industry professionals and research institutions, bringing life to sustainable design in every sector in the UK and overseas.

Role responsibilities:

Developing relationships with key clients and partners.
Leading teams working on demanding large-scale projects both in the UK and potentially overseas.
Establish client brief, leading the design and developing potential solutions for prestigious projects.
Delivering high quality projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Oversee mechanical services and the overall coordination of all services on a wide variety of projects within a multidisciplinary design team for several clients.
Providing management, technical lead, and direction to a team of Engineers/Technicians.
Effective utilisation of people, client relationships and resources to deliver agreed business targets.
Operational responsibility for resources, budgets and dealing with all financial and contractual issues.
Experience:

Enjoy working closely with clients, architects, and other members of the professional team
Leading the design and developing solutions that meet client's expectations.
Be comfortable representing the company at all levels and for all disciplines in this outward facing role.
You'll be naturally curious and enjoy producing solutions to create sustainable buildings.
Proven experience in a similar role leading and delivering large-scale projects with a significant amount of UK experience.
Be confident undertaking business development activity, client management and be commercially astute securing new and repeat business.
Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt your style to suit your audience.
Be a Chartered Engineer with a relevant Institution.The role will attract an extremely competitive salary and benefits package, plus excellent work life balance (2 days per week in the office)
