Job description

Are you an experienced registered nurse who is supportive, confident, and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team? Are you looking for a role where you can use your knowledge and skills working directly with people affected by ovarian cancer, providing holistic evidence-based support as well as helping to develop information and services that will support patients in the future? This could be the role for you.

We are an ambitious charity, building on our achievements and working to transform the lives of women with ovarian cancer. We are also investing in our future. This is an exciting time to be joining Target Ovarian Cancer as we continue to grow as an organisation. Join us to raise awareness, fund research and save lives.

We're looking for a Nurse Adviser to join our Supportive Services team. You'll provide direct support via our nurse-led support line to anyone who is affected by ovarian cancer. You'll also feed into the development of our information materials, our clinical nurse specialist (CNS) engagement programme, and support with the development of existing and new support services.

As this role requires the post-holder to provide information and support through our nurse-led support line, we're looking for an individual with senior nursing experience in a gynae-oncology setting and current NMC registration. While experience of the CNS role is highly desirable, we're open to hearing from registered nurses from a variety of relevant professional backgrounds.

This role is a 30-hour, four-day-a-week permanent position. Days worked must include Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We're open to offering this role on a three-day-a-week basis (22.5 hours) for the right candidate. We're currently all working from home and will continue to offer agile working in the future as restrictions ease. This role could be home-based in the UK with some travel, or based at our office at Angel Gate, Islington, with regular home-working.

To apply, please visit our website using the 'Apply on website' link, and send a CV and cover letter with the job in the subject line. Please also complete and return the equalities monitoring form.

The closing date for applications is Tuesday 7 December, 11.59pm. This role may close early if we receive a high volume of suitable applications, so we encourage you to apply early.

Interviews will be by video call until further notice.

We want to make our recruitment accessible to all. If there's a way we can support you in your application, or if you have any queries, please contact us with the job in the subject line.
