Job description

Our client is a leading and well-established player in the Digital Asset and Cryptocurrency trading industry. The business is going from strength to strength, and they are currently going through a period of exponential growth.

As a consequence, the need has arisen to hire a Product Manager with a background in OTC derivatives and structured products. This is a new role that has been created to drive their financial OTC products offering and trading capabilities for crypto native and traditional institutional counterparties.

THE ROLE: OTC Derivatives Product Manager

You will be responsible for enhancing the OTC offering across various financial products including derivatives and structured products. You will have the big picture in mind while making sure everything is in place by delivering the existing roadmap and expanding it. The role requires you to utilise your financial instruments knowledge, technical skills, business sense and creativity. Working closely with the product, trading, business development, design and engineering teams; you will build close relationships with the firm's partners and trading counterparties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: OTC Derivatives Product Manager

• Co-develop long term financial products vision and manage short / mid-term product roadmap with the focus on OTC derivatives trading
• Detail product benefits and features based on deep understanding of the market, competitive landscape, counterparty needs, product, and implementation feasibility
• Develop implementation plan including research, go-to-market, regulatory and technology aspects
• Manage the implementation of new products, functionality and features within strict and short timelines
• Develop strategic partnerships to help products grow faster
• Develop and track success metrics
• Design and evaluate experiments for new features and launch campaigns

• Extract actionable insights from trading and usage data
• Establish communication channels with users that informs roadmap priorities
• Proactively research the market and competitive landscape that informs the roadmap
• Develop varied go-to-market strategies in collaboration with marketing and business development teams
• Be ready to implement or headstart go-to-market activities both independently and in collaboration with other teams

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: OTC Derivatives Product Manager

• Experience in and deep knowledge of OTC trading, derivative instruments, and structured products, incl FX and exchange-traded instruments, and / or digital assets
• Product management or similar experience in the financial services industry or relevant advisory firms
• Solid understanding of transactions lifecycle, incl position management, clearing, margin / collateral management, P&L accounting, etc.
• Good understanding of financial market ecosystem players, their product needs, incentives, and constraints
• Knowledge of electronic trading infrastructure and platforms
• Strong existing network in institutional finance
• Experience starting new initiatives from scratch and seeing them through to delivery
• Loves working both with data and with people
• Strong analytical skills
• Fast learner who takes initiative
• Structured approach, good judgement of priorities, focus on getting things done and continuous incremental delivery
