Job description
You will be joining PEAS at an exciting time as we move into implementing our new ambitious strategy, PEAS 2 - Growing PEAS schools. Supporting all schools. During this period we will grow our school networks to double their size, launch in a third country and expand our wider impact by strengthening education systems.
This is an ideal role for a fundraiser looking to expand their experience working with a range on funder types such as Corporates, Trusts & Foundations, High Net Worth Individuals and Institutions. You will be joining a small and dedicated team of fundraisers to support in the delivery of PEAS new income strategy which includes a number of exciting new initiatives including Capital fundraising campaigns to build new schools, the launch of a new Giving Circle, and entering into new geographies for our fundraising. We are looking for a driven individual who is looking for a dynamic role where they can work in collaboration with others and get hands on experience of leading and delivering their own projects.
Outcomes of the role
Relevant new funding opportunities for PEAS have been regularly identified
The Partnerships Team has a pipeline of relevant prospects for each target funder type
Income from funders within the Partnerships Officer's portfolio has increased
Individual supporters and staff from our Corporate partners are participating in a range of fundraising events
PEAS is hosting between 4-6 fundraising and stewardship events per year
PEAS has a range of professional and engaging marketing materials for a range of funder types
PEAS has increased it social media presence
Roles and Responsibilities
Business development
Monitor fundraising portals (e.g. Funds4NGOs) on a fortnightly basis to identify new funding opportunities for PEAS and share recommendations with the Partnerships Team
Undertake desk-based research to identify prospective partners, undertake network mapping and make or facilitate approaches
Work with the Technical Team and global colleagues to develop compelling concept notes, proposals, presentations and pitches to generate new or repeat funding from a range of supporters and their networks in order to increase income year-on-year
Ensure that all new partnerships are appropriately agreed and contracted, and programme colleagues are briefed on donor reporting requirements
Play a key role in delivering ambitious new Capital Fundraising targets to grow our school network including managing a pipeline of small Trust & Foundations that can contribute to construction projects
Funder Stewardship
Lead on stewarding a portfolio of specified funders - including co-ordinating all communication from PEAS, managing and tracking projects and the pipeline of their funding, writing progress reports, keeping relevant PEAS staff informed and developing strategies for growing the partnership
Support the Partnerships Lead and Head of Partnerships with stewarding larger partnerships, including employee engagement, supporting with the development of proposals for ongoing funding and progress reports, collecting M&E data on projects and preparing slide decks and presentations
Guiding in-country teams to ensure that projects are well understood, being delivered and responding to any queries which arise.
Responsible for communicating with PEAS individual givers and supporting their fundraising,
Events
Lead on sourcing and promoting places at sporting events to PEAS supporters and support participants in the lead up to the events
Co-ordinating the implementation of stewardship and business development events including sourcing venues and catering, managing guest lists etc
External Communications
Work with the Communications Lead to collect content and develop engaging collateral that can be shared with a broad range of partners, including overview documents, personalised videos, blogs and case studies
Lead on the co-ordination of an annual content gathering (case studies, photos, videos) trip
Support the Head of Communications to manage PEAS' communications platforms, including the website and social media channels
Lead on content development and distribution of the quarterly supporter newsletter and PEAS annual report
Ensuring PEAS marketing materials are up to date and in stock
Ad hoc support for UK and country team colleagues with developing materials for external presentations
Other
PEAS representative at quarterly International Trusts and Foundations Network meetings
Co-ordinate interns and volunteers to support with a range of fundraising and communications projects
The ideal candidate
Has
A passion for fundraising and at least 2 years experience in fundraising or communications.
Strong communications skills and the ability to get people excited through writing, presentations and other forms of media
High standards for their own work, including a keen attention to detail
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a varied workload
The ability to lead projects in collaboration with others and take ownership of their own projects
Excellent MS Office skills, particularly MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience working with a fundraising database preferably Salesforce
Experience using communications platforms such as Squarespace, MailChimp, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Instagram as well as some design and video editing skills
A creative flair with some design and video editing skills
Knowledge and experience in new business and account management, or similar roles within the not-for-profit or commercial sector
An understanding of current international development issue and /or experience working in Uganda, Zambia or sub-Saharan Africa

Benefits
Salary of £27,000 - £29,000 DOE
