Job description

The Role:

A rare opportunity has arisen for a People and Talent Manager to join a highly influential, international architecture practice in their London office.

This role will play a key part in the HR team, supporting and mentoring junior HR staff whilst having the support and knowledge of senior HR staff to help develop your skills and career further. This is an HR generalist position that will support the wider team both in London and internationally and although industry experience isn't required, international exposure is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support HR day to day functions consistent with strategy and guidelines
  • Run the recruitment for the practice, closely liaising with senior management and receiving support from junior HR staff
  • Manage employee matters such as disciplinaries, grievances, restructures, etc.
  • Guide and support managers with performance management, employee development and resource planning
  • Implement and lead on policy and employment handbook changes/updates
  • Manage international employee movements such as transfers or secondments, overseeing immigration needs alongside the junior HR staff
  • Manage and mentor junior HR staff
  • Manage employee welfare and wellbeing efforts
  • Liaise with Head of HR on GDPR regulations and manage and monitor compliance against corporate and UK requirements
  • Ensure employee records in the internal system are accurate and updated throughout the employee lifecycle
  • Oversee onboarding, training, reviews, inductions and payroll reports by junior HR staff, ensuring proper steps are taken
  • Provide valuable data analytics and insight to the leadership team, giving input on overall HR policy and ways to deliver fair and consistent judgements along with improvements and positive changes to improve the employee experience

Key Skills:

  • Previous HR experience in a fast-paced and dynamic company
  • CIPD qualification or proven relevant HR experience
  • Strong experience in stakeholder management, employment law, UK immigration/global mobility, overseeing global payroll, working in international markets
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and HR systems/processes
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication and time management skills
  • Ability to problem-solve and support others
