Job description

We are seeking a Principal Geospatial Consultant who is passionate and enthusiastic about our main areas of customer, process, colleague and partner. We're looking for vision, innovation and a candidate who can make the wider Jacobs business become 'digital by default', promoting and developing geospatial solutions to solve client problems. You need to be adaptable and open minded, ready to go outside your comfort zone and bring others with you. You will be a technical expert and help to lead and mentor other colleagues. We want a great communicator who can promote our team and its solutions across Jacobs globally and to external clients.

This role can be based in any of the following Jacobs offices across the UK and Ireland where you will join a team of established geospatial specialists: Belfast, Dublin, Cork, Leeds, Manchester, York, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Birmingham, Cardiff, Bristol, Reading, London.

Jacobs offer a hybrid approach to work location, which combines working from home and time in the office with your team.

Here's What You'll Need:

* Experienced in leading large-scale GIS project delivery, costings and resourcing.

* Evidence of engagement with external clients, internal clients, framework managers, and sales teams through previous geospatial role.

* Knowledge of developing and promoting GIS solutions through an agile approach.

* High level of technical expertise in ESRI products including Arc Pro, ArcGIS Online and Enterprise Portal.

* Experienced in GIS systems integration and implementation of Enterprise GIS.

* Track record in data management and standards, and in the production of web maps and apps.

* A problem solver with a good degree qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent evidence of continued professional development.

This role requires experience in the management of GIS data across the whole project lifecycle. Knowledge of the engineering, environmental or utilities sectors is an advantage but not essential. Alongside the ESRI products you may be experienced in other GIS software, programming languages and software development, FME or CAD products.

Of central importance is the ability to function as part of multi-disciplinary teams located across several offices, to lead GIS project teams or groups of specialists, and to identify opportunities for new GIS services or solutions we can provide
