Product Specialist - Private Debt Investments
The Opportunity:
- This is a truly unique role and a wonderful opportunity for a very strong data led candidate who has experience working with Private Debt investments
- Sat within the Private Debt Investment Team at my market leading client, within this proactive role you will have huge exposure to the wider business, and, the opportunity to service and influence key stakeholders
- You will be fully integrated in the investment team, participating in investment team meetings and investment committee meetings
- The Private Debt strategy at my client was started three years ago and has grown hugely, with now over £4bn AuM - this strategy compliments my client's other more established ones, including Infrastructure and Private Equity
- This is therefore a newly created role with the remit to "own" a wide range of analytical and data related activities that are currently performed by the wider investment team - this "Product Specialist" role is replicated across the business with the other strategies and adds a huge amount of value to the wider business
- The Product Specialist will play a vital role in facilitating and coordinating investment-related information flow internally between various teams, bridging the gap between the Investment Managers and teams concerned with Portfolio Construction / Analysis / Monitoring, Business Development, Investor Relations, Marketing etc.
- The ability to work with Private Debt fund data (from a range of sources and vendors) and through your quantitative skills be able to provide bespoke analysis / MI to a wide range of stakeholders is at the heart of the role, with a view that this level of service is in keeping with Investor's requirement for even more meaningful data
- In summary, this role has responsibilities for:
- Fund and Portfolio Monitoring and Management
- Investment related fund deployment and portfolio metrics - working with portfolio construction team, capturing closing deal metrics, support production of investment committee papers
- Portfolio analysis - evaluate portfolio trends against strategy, develop additional analytical portfolio reports
- Business development - work with the Investment Team to be able to "pull a story" from data and work with them to develop new investment content, including research topics
Your Experience:
- You will have a very strong record of academic achievement from a top tier University, demonstrating a high level of numeracy and competency with data manipulation
- Experience of data analysis and knowledge of Private Debt
- Ability to understand financial statements, interpret and calculate key financial metrics
- Quantitative analysis skills would be advantageous
- Be able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Possess exceptional problem solving skills, along with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Through high levels of professionalism, demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships and influence key stakeholders
- Ability to manage workloads effectively and efficiently
- Ability to work to tight deadlines/under pressure with minimum supervision
