Problem and Change Manager

Reporting of the Role

This role reports to Head of Digital Operations

Overview of job

In this role, you will be responsible for continual improvement to the infrastructure used to deliver digital advertising across iconic travel networks in London by taking ownership for change, problem and configuration management processes. You will work with a technical team to identify and implementing improvements.

Measures of success -

In the first few months, you would have

  • Understood current landscape and identified process and knowledge gaps.
  • Delivered a project plan to improve change, problem and CMDB capabilities.
  • Demonstrated an understanding of the core digital infrastructure.

Responsibilities of the role

Problem and Change Management:

  • Improving owning and operating both the problem and change management processes.
  • Communicating process activities to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Developing and implementing appropriate reporting for both activities.
  • Ensuring both process are well coordinated with other business processes.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements.
  • Documentation processes and activities.

Configuration Management:

  • Designing, implementing and operating processes to managing maintain a CMDB.
  • Ensuring data is audited on a regular basis and kept up to date.
  • Identifying ways to improves and automate activities.

Additional:

  • This role will require occasional out of hours work as required by the project or task.
  • undertake any other duties commensurate with the nature of the role, at the discretion of line management.

What you will need

The ideal candidate will be proactive and willing to develop and implement innovative solutions, capable of the following:

Key Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • 3+ years experience using ITSM tools and implementing improvements.
  • 3+ years operating change, problem and CMDB ITIL processes.
  • Experience managing small/medium projects.
  • 3+ years experience working within an ITIL environment.
  • 3+ years experience managing and implementing IT/technology changes.
  • An understanding of IT fundamentals (e.g. networking, OS, hardware).
  • Ability to identify and take responsibility for personal, technical and industry specific development.
  • Experience in cross-functional working with a business partnering approach.
  • Experience working in a customer facing environment and ability to prioritise based on impact.
  • Experience understanding business needs and requirements and designing end to end processes.

Desirable:

  • Experience using Service now.
  • Experience using remote OS, inventory and software deployment tools.
  • PowerShell.
  • Experience using PDQ Inventory & Deploy

Qualifications

Essential:

  • BTEC National Diploma or equivalent level 3 qualification in.
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • ITIL Foundation

Desirable

  • Relevant IT specific qualifications (e.g. Microsoft/Cisco)
