Job description

The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a Project Manager to manage the Amplifying Maternal Voices project within our Targeted Programmes for Families, Children and Young People. This is a part time fixed term role, working 2 days per week until April 2024.

Starting salary £35,143 rising to £39,000 plus London Weighting: £3,285.

This exciting Project Manager role will deliver the Amplifying Maternal Voices project nationally, with key activities focused in up to four locations across England. Building on work with existing networks, the project will develop an engagement toolkit to enable less heard communities and networks to champion for positive change in perinatal service provision. The role includes line management of a Project Officer and works in close partnership with the Maternal Mental Health Alliance and their network members. Two key events will also be delivered as part of the project, to share learning and raise the profile of key considerations in providing perinatal care to less-heard women and their families.

What does the role involve?

Working in close collaboration with the Maternal Mental Health Alliance, their Lived Experience Members and key stakeholders to develop key project deliverables.
Raising the profile of the project activities internally and nationally to support effective campaigning for positive change in perinatal service provision.
Maintaining project management, budgeting and reporting requirements to ensure successful deliver on key milestones and deliverables in the project.
Thinking strategically to enhance sustainability of the campaigning model beyond the life of the project.

What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?

Strong project management and organisational skills including project planning, budget management and prioritisation.
Excellent ability and drive to amplify the voices of less-heard mothers and their families in informing campaigns and service developments.
Evidenced experience of building key relationships and working collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to the benefit of a project.
