Job description

The Role

Together is an amazing place to work. And it's not just because we're one of the UK's oldest and most respected mental health charities. It's because we put the people who use our services at the heart of everything we do - supporting and enabling them to take control of their lives and make a positive contribution to the community.

This exciting role sits within an Estates team of three as part of the Finance & Resources directorate (F&R) and will report to the incoming Head of Estates. Together manages an exciting and diverse property portfolio with a mix of freehold and leasehold properties of various sizes, age and condition across the UK.

In particular, the main responsibilities for this role include:

Supporting the day-to-day property management services of local teams in a structured and systematic way via the repairs and maintenance programmes
Ensuring our properties are safe, in repair and compliant through inspection and structured procurement / tender of key services with external partners
Carrying out condition surveys to define, plan and deliver maintenance needs within budget, both in the short, medium and long term

The role is incredibly varied and reflects the diversity of Together's property portfolio. In particular, it will be a central point between our local teams, procurement and finance teams and will play a key part in driving the continuous quality of our estates forward.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have the customer / service user experience at heart and the drive to provide the best range of property activities possible in a safe environment. You will also need to be either working towards RICS qualification or be qualified.

As this role is intrinsic to Together's property portfolio, travel to various sites across the UK will be required.

In return we offer a friendly & dynamic working environment, competitive pay & a great range of benefits.

We have a firm commitment to encouraging fairness and diversity in our work force and we welcome applications from disabled people and those from BME backgrounds.
