We are a UK wide membership organisation for all health professionals working in adult, paediatric and adolescent rheumatology. BSR works to promote excellence in the care of people with rheumatic and musculoskeletal disorders and to support those delivering it, involving patients and carers at every step.

Job Summary

We are recruiting for a Public Affairs Manager to join the External Affairs team in the Practice and Quality Directorate. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with excellent interpersonal skills who will be responsible for developing and maintaining stakeholder engagement with health, political and public figures.

In this role you will:

- Be responsible for driving forward the Society's public affairs agenda and support the development of the Society's leadership voice, profile and influencing function.

-Play a crucial part in helping to ensure our members, Trustees and Senior Management Team are well briefed and where appropriate support them in developing stakeholder relationships.

- Lead the External Affairs team's public affairs and will work autonomously with our members, partners and stakeholders to promote our specialty. Your enthusiasm for expanding our Society's reach and impact will be infectious amongst colleagues and our members.

Location

Our head office is based in Central London. We are currently working flexibly (hybrid) and you will be given the support and equipment needed to make this possible.Can be based UK-wide with proximity to parliamentary network.This role will involve travel across the UK.
