Regional Sales Manager, Upper ExtremitiesSouth UKJob DescriptionAt Stryker we are looking for a talented, highly motivated sales leader who will be responsible and accountable for driving the Upper Extremity business throughout the South UK, to further accelerate growth and extend our position as the number 1 shoulder company. You will be responsible for the management of your sales area, the leadership of your employees as well as sales/turnover and cost so that optimized customer service and acquisition of new customers is guaranteed. The Regional Sales Manager will report directly into the Business Unit Manager, Upper Extremities UK.Key ResponsibilitiesExceed & deliver against the quarterly and yearly business budget whilst managing instrument utilization, consignment investment and discretionary spend.Ensure outstanding service delivery to protect and renew existing commitments and evaluate market opportunities to develop new business pipeline.Regular and accurate forecasting vs budget.Manage, lead, and motivate a high performing sales team, supporting and driving them strategically and tactically to accelerate business through the Trauma portfolio.Coach and develop your sales team to achieve their potential.Support and collaborate with enabling function teams such as contracts & pricing, compliance, customer service and accounting, to ensure smooth order to cash process is maintained and our customers receive the highest levels of service.Build local clinical champions to support driving forward both current and future technology platforms across the entire portfolio.Understand and utilize market dynamics to support business acceleration.Take a creative approach to new business development for both current and future technologies and platforms.Network with cross divisional counterparts to foster a culture of collaboration and identify opportunities to 'Win Big, Together'.Experience/EducationTraining in a medical, scientific, technical career or degree in sciences/economicsVerifiable successful sales and/or marketing experienceExperience in team leadership, coaching and mentoringProduct knowledge in the Orthopaedic sector would be advantageousExperience working with hospital procurement groups and national framework providers would be preferableAnatomical proficiencyEconomic knowledgeCommercial skills in leading a profit centreKnowledge of a CRM systemComputer skills, MS OfficePresentation skills with modern presentation mediaCompetenciesStrong leadership skillsStrong communicator who is excellent in developing relationshipsSelf-motivated and achievement drivenDisciplined and organizedHigh integrity & strong ethicsStrength of purposeCommercial acumenStrategic approach to business planningNegotiating skills & power of persuasionCharismaSense of responsibilityAbility to handle communications, criticism and conflictAbility to work under pressureDecisiveness and assertivenessFlexibility and adaptabilityOther InformationThe best location for the successful candidate to live would be central to the South UKThis role will require regional travel and to stay away from home overnight on a regular basis for customer visits.This person will be based from home however visits to the head office in Newbury will be expected and occasional international travel is to be expected.
