A fantastic opportunity has come through to join a leading organisation who are looking to bring in an experienced Risk Senior Manager on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in non-financial risk. A great opportunity to join a high performing and value team in a very successful business. Occasional travel will be expected.

The Job:

• Leading the risk team in providing expert and tailored risk advice
• External environment scans review latest development on issues that could create a risk for the business
• Develop and implement methods, techniques, processes and reporting to ensure the business has a well embedded risk and control framework in place
• Constructive challenge to risk management considerations in the direction, decision making and execution of the business plan and strategy
• Act as a highly effective business partner, providing Senior Management level challenge and support - cultivating strong relationships with stakeholders inside and outside of the organisation
• Promoting a strong Risk & Compliance culture
• Deputise for the Associate Director of Risk at meetings and Committees
• 2LOD Opinion/Observation Reporting: needs to include but not limited to; actionable insights of external environment which couple impact the business, Risk Assessment reports, change risk profile view, risks outside of tolerance, incidents which are impacting risk
• Perform quarterly risk board reports to Executive Risk Committee and Board Risk Committee

Your Experience:

• Experience of 2LOD risk management within financial services - predominant focus on non-financial risk
• Expertise in risk management framework design and execution
• Strong leadership, people management and stakeholder management skills with the ability to negotiate and influence
• Ability to "throw a spanner in the works" in a professional manner
• Knowledge and sound understanding of regulatory risk
• Background in Retail Banking, Commercial Banking or Insurance
