We are looking for an independent Sales Account Manager for our UK business.You will be reporting into the Category Director for Europe with autonomy, this is an opportunity to develop and showcase your entrepreneurial skills with high responsibilityThis role will expose you to sugar reduction, clean label, plant based innovations which is a key trend amongst our customers. The main focus will be the nurture and growth of current accounts within the dairy, infant nutrition with some exposure to bakery, soups and sauces category. We are purpose driven company dedicated to improving lives for generations through supporting healthy living, building thriving communities, and caring for our planet.This is a place for engaged, passionate people and those that get excited by the possibilities to support our customer's requirements on projects providing great taste, healthy options and convenience solutions in their final products.About the roleYou'll be responsible for volume, turnover and profit delivery against annual budgets, and on a daily basis you'll be introducing new products and promotions, leading customer negotiations, forecasting revenue and developing your own robust pipeline of sales.Working with the Category Director to determine sales and business development strategies, you'll partner with a wide variety of Stakeholders - from Customer Service, Sales Operations, Product Management, Tech support, Application, Category Development, Marketing and Quality teams -enabling you to deliver customised solutions that meet the needs of our customers and their consumers ultimately.As such, you'll manage and visit your existing customers and new prospects on a regular basis, adapting to a more virtual approach due to Covid 19 pandemic restrictions as required.You'll lead the way on introducing new products and concepts to customers to ensure a robust development pipeline maximizing customer needs and profitable sales, keeping commercial activity reporting systems up to date on a regular basis.As the relationship owner, you'll drive negotiations of commercial agreements with customers and prospects in close collaboration with Category Director and Product management teams.As the local expert, you'll be collecting market data - quantitative and qualitative - feeding back to the concerned departments, and you'll be invited to participate in relevant category commercial meetings (remotely or in person as Covid restrictions allow).About youYou'll be able to make an impact immediately having previously enjoyed a B2B, account management, sales or business development role within the food industry and/or a ingredients specialist.You'll bring evidence of a developing long-standing productive partnerships, with well-practiced influencing and negotiation skillsIt's technical sales role, interfacing with Scientists and commercial teams and so a Degree in food science or business would be preferable.With a large territory to manage, and to best serve your customers, you will be based in the UK, but you'll need to be willing to travel, and hold a Driving license (as Covid restrictions permit of course)Communication skills are key to engage with all stakeholders effectively - adaptable to prospects, clients or internal stakeholders.Experience with SAP and an understanding of Salesforce as reporting platforms advantageous.LocationUK, remote with the ability to travel when necessary for customer or internal related matters.
