A day in the life of our Duty Security Officer demands high levels of energy. They need consistency even though the days are never alike; and creativity to tackle daily adventures. Listing all of the contributions that our Duty Security Officer accomplish would be lengthy but the list below is essential to know. · Our Duty Security Officer are responsible for FLHSS (Fire, Life, Health, Safety, and Security) of the hotel adhering to our set company rules and regulation standards. This includes review on protective and preventative security measures that ensures our guests receives nothing but the best experience. · Records all relevant incidents in the Occurrence Book, conduct regular patrols of the building, records hazard and communicate findings for action in compliance particular to Risk Assessment strategies· Ensuring that CCTV / work-related security and surveillance systems are professionally operated at all times when assigned and to relay all pertinent information to relevant stakeholders or Area Director of Security· To be convergent of, and comply with, safe working practises as laid down under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and Company H & S Manual, as applicable to your place of work. · Conducts random audits in all departments to ensure the policy on key control, Lost and Found processes and adhered to security Code of Practice · Sometimes our guests have special requests involving delivering a prompt and courteous service to the highest level; such as first aid emergency, responding directly to all types of alarm activations and liaison with law enforcement agency to meet their expectation. Most of these requests are fulfilled by our Duty Security officer by remaining calm, confident, approachable while maintaining professional image.· To be trained in First Aid emergency techniques, provide security awareness and fire safety training.· Be proficient in obtaining witness statements, writing incident reports via software provided· Investigate, administrate and report all accidents with an emphasis on incidents as legislated by RIDDOR.· Our values of Personality, Passion, Respect, Working Together and Creativity guide us each and every day. The purpose of Duty Security officer is to live their behaviours to continue to create our legacy. · Ensures to exceed guest and visitors expectations even if it means to cross over to another department.· Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. Our Duty Security officer must communicate with other departments and extended hotel team in order to ensure the alignment remains. · Creation and maintenance of a stable, secure and safe working environment by communicating clearly and persuasively, yet open to feedback and learning.
