Job description

*Supply Teaching Assistants required in South East London*

The SEND team at Engage education are seeking to recruit Supply Teaching Assistants to work across various special schools in southeast London in areas such as Southwark, Croydon, Bromley, and Lewisham. The schools offer support for students with a range of special educational needs such as Autism.

Further details of the role include:

* Perfect role for University students who need flexibility

* £70 - £85 per day (depending on experience)

* Choose your days - flexible schedules

* £150 'refer a friend' scheme

* Immediate starts

The role will require you to:

* Have high aims for all students

* Creative a fun, stimulating learning environment

* Support students with challenging behaviours

* Work as part of a team

* Provide both 1:1 and small group support

The ideal candidate will be:

* Experienced in supporting children and young people, ideally in an educational setting

* Experienced in supporting those with special educational needs

* Trained in positive handling, e.g. Team Teach

* Experienced in managing challenging behaviours

* Experienced in using PECS and Makaton
