Job description

An exciting, fast-paced consumer electronics brand is seeking to recruit a Senior Design Engineer to join its R&D department in Cambridge. As Senior Design Engineer will you be responsible for:

Detailed design from brief through to prototyping and then production.
Rapid prototyping, functional lab testing and analysis of test data.
Design verification to validate concepts.
Detailed CAD design using Creo
Work with external manufacturing partners and other suppliers.
Coordinating technical teams through the design lifecycle.

We'd love to hear from you if you have the following experience:

Degree educated with experience working in a design consultancy or consumer product brand.
Expert user of SolidWorks, Creo would be a massive bonus too!
Ability to communicate ideas and proposition with the help of hand sketches, CAD layouts, 3D models and working prototypes.
Experience of transferring products into manufacture in China and Europe.
A good knowledge of different cosmetic finishes on consumer products and their applications would be beneficial.
