Job industry: Consulting & Corporate Strategy

Job description

Unusual and outstanding opportunity for a skilled, experienced Senior Investment Consultant with an entrepreneurial flare to join a rapidly growing consultancy.

This firm has built a reputation for excellence, as demonstrated by 100% client retention over the last 2 years, and a 50%+ win rate on RFPs. Focusing on small to medium sized schemes, the team has doubled in the last 18 months, adding both internal resource, and fostering deep and mutually beneficial business partnerships with businesses whose expertise complements their own.

The role would suit an ambitious and confident Senior Investment Consultant who has had enough of the politics and hierarchies of larger firms, and simply wants to provide exceptional advice and service to clients, whilst working within a close and very friendly team.

You will be responsible for building and managing your own portfolio, utilizing all the resources at your fingertips, and will be well remunerated accordingly, based on the profitability of the portfolio of schemes you advise. For the right individual this could easily lead to 6 figure bonuses on top of a strong basic salary.

In addition, you will get the opportunity to become the key business lead in an area of Investment of your choice, becoming the touchstone both internally and externally in your area of expertise.

The offices are based in the South East, and there would be an expectation to meet up with the rest of the team once per week, although this could easily be in central London, away from the offices. As long as you can get to South-East England once per week (or potentially fortnight), you could be located anywhere in the UK to work from home.

The culture of the firm is very warm and welcoming, fully flexible working (output-orientated), with a contractual guarantee that the firm will not be sold, or subsumed into a competitor.

You will need to be either FIA- or CFA-qualified, with a minimum 8 years' experience in the UK institutional investment industry, and have a strong track record of advising clients on a broad range of investment topics.
