Engineering at GHCO
GHCO takes a holistic and collaborative approach to solving the firm's core business problems. You won't just write and review code - you'll have responsibilities ranging from designing and implementing the software solutions and deliverables, and for communicating these decisions effectively and clearly.
As a Software Engineer at GHCO you will…
Be responsible for the implementation, operation, and maintenance of our trading systems.
You will get involved in the trading and strategy development as well as improving our newly-built applications, thinking deeply about user and market interactions.
Here are some of the projects you could be working on:
pricing and hedging models
trading risk and position monitoring
trading and strategy user interfaces
strategy configuration process
underlying high frequency automated trading platform

You are dynamic and unafraid, love to challenge the producing the status quo
You are curious with a strong desire to solve complex challenging problems
You have an insatiable appetite to acquire skills and implement new technologies
You collaborate easily with a team and are comfortable with honest and constructive feedback and are eager to give and receive feedback
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills both virtually and in-person
Your skills and experience
Experience with Java or Rust
Functional programming experience is a bonus
Familiarity with databases (e.g. SQL Server, Postgres)
Familiarity with developing, testing, or deploying with a Cloud Server Provider (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)
Experience using version control software (e.g. git)
Strong programming ability and a mindset open to testing and experimentation
