Specification Account Manager

Perm Placements Ltd are working on behalf of our prestigious European based client.

Our client is a market leader in sustainable wood repair and maintenance.

Job purpose:

Grow the area and turnover by Communicating the RCI system & benefits to relevant sectors including:

- distribution/merchants,

- end users, joiners & carpenters,

- specifiers: social housing groups, local authorities, maintenance groups, architects, property owners.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities:

- Create own annual plan to fulfil UK business plan objectives in role

- Creating specifications and securing projects also Use Barbour Abi to find projects and switch them

- Gaining new contractor users

- Deliver CPD's

- Develop opportunities for our training courses

- Work with distributor partners to develop business

- Project monitoring with Client and contractor

- Mentoring of new team members and help with induction plans

- Collaborate with colleagues to maximise turnover

- Ensure CRM system is up to date with relevant accounts and data including all appointments

- Provide case studies

- Social media activity to gain new contacts and relationships

Person profile:

Personality:

Tenacious, outgoing individual with ability and confidence to contact "unknown" prospects.

Happy to work in a team and on own - must be willing to collaborate with any team members within the business.

Specific job skills:

- Ability to create relationships at all levels

- (Extensive) experience in selling added value (concept/solution sales) to prescribing bodies (including housing associations) and advisory bodies (e.g. architects).

- Excellent presentation skills.

- Familiar with the principles of merchandising & store staff training.

- Excellent command of the English language and communication techniques.

- General knowledge with regard to the creation/restoration of wood rot in timber joinery.

- Experienced in efficient work planning and reporting.

- Working to deadlines and under some pressure should not concern you at all.

Computer skills:

- Sound knowledge of MS Office suite of products, especially Word and Excel.

- Experience of a digital CRM system is essential.

- Ability to produce draft documents for internal discussion is desirable.

Education:

- You should hold GCSE (or equivalent) certificates for English and Maths.

- You must have at least 3 years of relevant role experience
