The work

Our current work is typically focused on applying our deep sector & strategy knowledge to various types of strategic projects, including:

• Commercial due diligence
• Strategy development and assessment
• Market entry strategy and opportunity sizing
• Product and business unit strategy development
• Divestment options analysis

You'll work with a high-performing, integrated team which focuses on a variety of global and local corporate clients and private equity clients. You'll have a diverse range of stretching experiences which will give you continuous learning and development opportunities as well as a great sense of achievement.

The Opportunity

We are seeking to expand our team with Associate Consultants who will work across a range of sectors. As an Associate Consultant you will be responsible for executing significant portions of analysis, presenting data clearly to identify trends or issues and draw out relevant insights which can be used when creating clear storylines for our clients.

The 8-week Summer Associate internship is an excellent opportunity to experience what it is like to work as a consultant and the unique opportunities that EY-Parthenon Strategy offers. By the end of the internship, you will have a real understanding if this is the right choice for you, with many internships resulting in a full-time offer. The programme begins with a week of intense training to equip you with the consulting toolkit you will use throughout the summer. You will then begin working with teams on client projects, performing the same role as a graduate associate consultant. This will involve research, data analysis, building and using spreadsheet models, preparing client presentations, and attending team and client meetings.

A Summer Associate can expect to work on at least two cases across a range of industries, dealing with areas such as commercial due diligence, growth and market entry, profit and operational improvement. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire real-life business experience, whilst acquiring valuable analytic, interpersonal and leadership skills.

You key responsibilities

• Building an understanding of a client/target's business, market dynamics and key sector trends
• Delivering accurate analysis and presenting this and associated data clearly to identify trends or issues
• Drawing out relevant insights from work/analysis to feed into overall story-lining of a project output
• Crafting and delivering client-ready slides for both client and business development work
• Performing primary and secondary research including data gathering, interviews, and surveys
• Collaborating with your team to help with the planning and developing of analytics, both qualitative and quantitative
• Fostering an inclusive culture throughout the team and within engagements

To qualify for the role, you must:

• Be educated to bachelor's degree level or equivalent
• Have both quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
• Be clear and concise in your communication skills, and be able to engage effectively with both clients and team members
• Possess a desire and ability to solve complex and open-ended client problems
• Have the right to work in the UK throughout the internship, unfortunately EY cannot support visas for summer interns
