Our Investment teams are grouped under: Equities, Fixed Income, Multi-Assets and Alternatives.Overview of the roleYou will contribute to the team's investment process and reporting capabilities. You will work alongside the portfolio managers on the analysis and integration of ESG issues, engaging with investee companies at a senior management level, and working with the marketing and writing teams in the preparation of external client facing materials such as sustainability/impact reporting and website content. You will also be responsible for managing certification against external standards.Duties and responsibilitiesYou will:Take responsibility for sustainability and impact reporting on the portfolio - including Annual Sustainability Report, Quarterly Positive Impact reports and Engagement ReportsManage certification against external standardsManage ethical/negative screening and prepare materials for quarterly Ethical Oversight Committee meetingAnalyze the ESG characteristics of companies that are under consideration for inclusion in the SRI funds and produce written research.Collaborate with the ESG Investment team on company engagement on ESG issues and manage overall engagement program for the SRI funds.Collaborate with the investment writing and marketing teams in distribution to produce regular content to support the marketing of the funds.Carry out additional duties as assigned.Supervisory responsibilitiesNoTechnical skills and qualificationsPreferably sustainability qualification or equivalent work experienceIdeally experience in an ESG Investment rolePreferably degree educatedCompetencies requiredIn addition to putting clients first, acting like an owner, and succeeding as a team, the competencies for this role include:Strong writing and analytical skillsSelf-motivated and able to work independentlyExcellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and develop relationships internally and externallyStrong written and verbal communication and presentation skillsStrong IT skills including proficiency with Excel an advantageExcellent attention to detailAbility to work effectively under pressureOngoing competence in the role to be assessed, in line with applicable regulatory requirements, by:Annual performance appraisalCompletion of all assigned compliance trainingCompliance requirementsAt a minimum the role will require you to:Place the interest of Janus Henderson's Clients first, act in accordance with TCF (Treating Customers Fairly) principlesUnderstand and follow laws and regulations applicable for your role, seeking the help of your supervising manager or Compliance if additional guidance is requiredUnderstand and abide by all Janus Henderson policies applicable to your role, and seek support/guidance of the policy owner guidance when requiredYou are ultimately accountable for your actions and responsible for seeking further information on any or all of the above as necessary.Janus Henderson (including its subsidiaries) will not maintain existing or sponsor new industry registrations or licenses where not supported by an employee's job functions (as determined by Janus Henderson at its sole discretion).All applicants must be willing to comply with the provisions of Janus Henderson Investment Advisory Code of Ethics related to personal securities activities and other disclosure and certification requirements, including past political contributions and political activities.
