Job description

As a Barclays Sustainability Governance and Research Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to provide governance and analytical support to Bankers with in scope climate and other reputational risk clients. You will be part of our Investment Banking Risk and Control business which provides leverage to the Investment Bank through the performance of delegated responsibilities (SMF6) including registered or regulated activities.

What will you be doing?
• Operating and helping to design process and controls to ensure Investment Banking is fully in compliance with all Sustainability and other reputational risk standards.
• Providing research support to Investment Banking in current and future climate sectors
• Working in a team environment to collaborate and coordinate change and control requirements with internal stakeholders across the Banking and impacted Functions
• Working with Investment Banking and Corporate Banking stakeholders to manage day to day activities, ensuring delivery accountability is in place across the function

What we're looking for:
• Educated to degree level or equivalent; advanced degree preferred
• Analysis and presentation skills
• Proven track record of working financial services initiatives, ideally with regulatory cross functional delivery impact.
• Understanding of project management best practices/ methodologies/ project lifecycle

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Strong quantitative analytical skills and good understanding
• Ability to network and influence others and work with stakeholders
• Strong delivery focus;
• Some ESG knowledge is beneficial

Where will you be working?
5 North Colonnade is home to our investment bank and is in the heart of Canary Wharf, just a short walk from our headquarters at Churchill Place. It boasts an array of onsite amenities such as dry cleaner as well as a deli and buffet style staff restaurant. The building is easily accessible by tube, docklands light railway and all major bus links. The atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
