At Aspris Children's Services we are proud of our reputation for delivering quality education and care services with positive outcomes for children and young people aged 5 to 25 who have experienced difficulties in their previous education placements.Roehampton Hospital School is a newly registered independent co-educational day school for young people aged 11 to 18 with mental health challenges. Our students are all inpatients of the Eating Disorder unit and CAMHS units at The Priory Hospital Roehampton, London. We have a team of specialist teachers and teaching assistants who deliver education to all young people at the hospital, where the school is based.It is our intention that every student develops their courage, determination and skills as a learner, so they can re-engage confidently with their education on discharge. We liaise with mainstream schools and colleges and each young person has an individualised curriculum plan in each subject area, with progress being closely monitored. Our school offers a broad based academic and enrichment curriculum, with specialist teaching spaces, teaching technologies and substantial grounds around our buildings.We are seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with additional administrator skills.This post is likely to suit an individual with previous experience in a school environment, as either a Teaching Assistant, a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or Teacher wishing to work as an TA, who is comfortable working in Key Stage 3 and 4. Experience with Post-16 support is also desirable.Secure knowledge and strong support skills in Maths and English up to GCSE is essential.The Teaching Assistant will be expected to:Support the activities of all curriculum areas in the classroomWork with individuals and groups to support their learning in a variety of subjects, including the school's bespoke programmesProvide for the general welfare and pastoral care of childrenBe self-motivated and liaise with members of staff throughout the school, working effectively as a member of the teamProvide administration support essential to the smooth running of the school, including liaising with a number of external stakeholders and the multi-disciplinary teamBe confident in the use of standard admin systems eg.
