I am working with an Independent School based in West London that provides full-time, alternative, secondary education for young people aged between 13 and 17.

This role requires a nurturing mentor who canprovide support to disengaged, school refusers who struggle with anxiety within mainstream schools.

A very challenging behaviour-based setting for students, providing education, mentoring, counselling, and family support for some of the most vulnerable young people in West LondonA school for Key stage 3 Key stage 5 students who are unable to access mainstream education due to their additional needsSome students may have more complex needs including social, emotional and health needs (SEMH) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD)The school hours are 8:30-4pm (Mon-Fri)Parking available for driversExpectations -Teaching Assistant

A long-term contract, working for the whole academic year with the prospects of becoming a permanent member of staffThe Ideal Candidate Teaching Assistant
Experience working with young people with SEMH, ASD, SpLD and people with language barriersAbility to build strong relationships with staff and students Proven behaviour management skillsBe able to react and adapt to challenges effectively whilst remaining professionalCommitted to build a career based on Special Educational NeedsPay
Long-term contracts are available for those who are looking for immediate work.

We understand that pay is extremely important, and it must be clear and simple!

For that reason, we have chosen to pay our staff via PAYE only.

Quoted rates are gross pay and your pay will never involve employer's NI deductions or admin feesJust as roles vary, so will the remuneration depending on the role requirements and your experience.
