It's an exciting time as Sense has just released its new strategy, we now have an opportunity for a Team Leader to join our service in Barnet.
This is a permanent role, 37.5 hours per week.
The service provides accommodation for seventeen people with dual sensory impairment and some individuals also have a learning disability and some may present behaviour that can challenge at time.
Each person has their own private room and shares the use of communal areas. Hyde Court promotes a Total Communication environment that encourages everyone develop skills in both expressive and receptive communication.

Your duties can include:
To support individuals / groups within the home, centre and community.
To provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services.
To deliver services which meet or exceed organisational expectations and standards.

Your required skills and experiences:
You don't need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications - we're happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker.
Knowledge of multi sensory impairments / learning difficullties is beneficial.

Due to recent changes in government legislation all staff working in a CQC regulated care homes must be fully vaccinated. The regulations will come into force on Thursday 11 November. For those beginning their vaccination journey, they must have their first dose by Thursday 16 September to allow the eight-week gap between doses and ensure they are fully vaccinated by Thursday 11 November.
