Telecommunications Officer (DATO)Country/Region: GBCity: RuislipJob Title: Telecommunications Officer (DATO)Location: Ruislip, Middlesex, GB, HA4 6NGCompensation: £ 27,000.00 + BenefitsRole Type: Full time / PermanentJob ID: SF35637Your role is an integral part of the overall station CIS team, some specific technical training to enable applicants to fulfil this role will be provided as required. We have a strong team ethos in a fast paced aviation business with solid business credentials where we can offer you stability and welfare in the workplace.Who we are looking for?You'll be responsible for the control and management of all telephony, including fixed lines, service mobile telephones and video conferencing facilities as well as being the interface with various external telephony and DFTS stakeholders, including billing procedures, updating various databases and the upkeep of station telephone directories. You will also be responsible for the maintenance of telephony system, switch rooms along with internal duct management, planning and installation.What will you be doing?Maintaining the serviceability telephone exchange, equipment room and supporting infrastructure.Maintaining a configuration record of all internal cable installations and ensure the serviceability of the containment.Assisting the ASTs in the install and repair passive network infrastructure both internally and externally, including fibre and copper technologies.Attending station siting boards in lieu of AST personnelEnsuring telephony services are programmed and recorded in accordance with local policy directives.The experience you'll bringTwo GCSEs at Grade C or above - recognised equivalents acceptedDigital telephone exchange experienceGood understanding of RAF trade group 4 tasks and responsibilitiesYou must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.What a role with Babcock offers?Generous holiday entitlementPension PlanAccess to make a difference for a sustainable environment for futureA tailored personal development and training programme.Autonomy.
