Job description

Are you a bright and enthusiastic fundraising professional with a passion for dogs?

We are looking to appoint two permanent Trusts and Foundations Officers to help raise funds for our affiliate charity - Dogs Trust Worldwide.

The successful candidate will apply their enthusiasm and creativity and make an enormous difference to dogs in need globally, using their first-class skills to prepare 5, 6 and 7-figure multi-year, inspiring applications.

Dogs Trust Worldwide is an affiliate charity to Dogs Trust, which aims to improve the welfare of dogs around the world and protect them from maltreatment, cruelty and suffering. Our parent charity, Dogs Trust, is the largest dog-welfare organisation in the UK. Dogs Trust rehabilitates and rehomes over 15,000 stray and abandoned dogs in an average a year through our network of rehoming centres. Its mission is to bring about the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction.

After a highly successful couple of years, the team has expanded, with the recent addition of two Team Manager roles, each leading their own team - one UK-based and the other Worldwide. Two Trusts and Foundations Officers (Worldwide) will join this enlarged team, working alongside existing Officers (UK) and reporting into the relatively new Trusts and Foundations Team Manager (Worldwide).

To succeed in this role, you will have a demonstrable track record of securing grants from charitable trusts/foundations, well-developed written and verbal communication skills and, above all, be a strong, positive team player committed to the aims and values of Dogs Trust.

You will have exceptional attention to detail and a strong aptitude for writing creative narrative that will ensure our applications stand out when being assessed. Ideally to be considered for a role focused on fundraising for Dogs Trust Worldwide you will have a successful track-record of trust fundraising for international projects or a strong interest in doing so.

We have a comprehensive benefits package, which includes excellent annual leave and pension contributions. You will join a team of highly professional and passionate colleagues in the fundraising team - and you'll learn from and get to meet dedicated experts in the field of canine care, research and welfare. Added to this, the whole charity has a brilliant upbeat and collaborative culture promoted by a highly supportive management team.

Perhaps best of all, being a Trusts and Foundations Officer at Dogs Trust means working in an environment where staff can apply to bring their own dog to work, after a year of continuous service, so there are always plenty of friendly four-legged friends keeping us company in the office!

This post will be based in Dogs Trust London office two days a week and remotely three days a week (this may change at a later stage).

To apply for this position, please send your CV and cover letter explaining your interest in and suitability for the role by clicking the APPLY button.

Please note that we will be holding interviews with suitable candidates as we receive their applications and, therefore, reserve the right to close this advert early. Please don't delay in submitting your CV!
