Distribution is a trusted partner to our clients, and we enable investment solutions through active management. Areas within Distribution consist of Sales, Global Marketing, Global Product, and Investment Trusts.Overview of the roleWorks to design new and redesign existing websites, including concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and implementation of design in order to create a client centric online experience. Maintains and improves visual design of existing websites while continuously reviewing user experience data and then, evolving designs in hopes to improve client experience. Works collaboratively to ensure the design is implementable by the digital team and usable for clients. Partners with content managers and stakeholders throughout the planning and implementation process.Duties and responsibilitiesYou will:Participate in and supports all facets of the life cycle of user experience (UX) and digital design, including:Understanding business needsInformation gathering and clarificationResearch and testingInformation architectureProviding consultation or expert advice to management and stakeholdersPlanning long- or short-term UX and web design objectivesCreating prototypes for user acceptance testing prior to digital developmentDesigning campaign pages, blog posts, call to action sections, emails, etc.Support content managers by creating and providing visual contentProvide ongoing user experience analysis of existing content for stakeholdersProactively evaluate current websites and rebrands digital properties in accordance with brand direction and style guideUpdate and maintain the digital style guide and provides appropriate Cascading Style Script (CSS) direction for digital content managers.Assist in the design of user interface and appearance of new social media technologies such as blogging platforms.Assist the digital content team, as necessary, with required design updatesCarry out additional duties as assigned.Supervisory responsibilitiesNoTechnical skills and qualificationsPrevious experience in UX and/or digital designSuperior knowledge of Sketch, Figma and Adobe Creative SuiteBachelor's degree required, preferably in a related discipline: Human Factors, Computer Science with specialty in User Interface Design, Graphical Design or equivalentCompetencies requiredIn addition to putting clients first, acting like an owner, and succeeding as a team, the competencies for this role include:Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, InVison and ZeplinAbility to design for desktop, mobile, and tablet (responsive) as well as browser and cross-platform environmentsCMS platform knowledge is a plusWordPress or other blogging platforms is a plusExperience partnering with digital development teamsAbility to take ideas from concept to executionStrong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodologyKnowledge of current and evolving internet technologiesComfortable in a fast-paced environment, working across multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to see patterns in repetitive tasks and identify improvements to simplify and streamlineStrong sense of accountability and urgency in meeting tasksOngoing competence in the role to be assessed, in line with applicable regulatory requirements, by:Annual performance appraisalCompletion of all assigned compliance trainingAnnual attestation (Knowledge and Competence in-scope roles only)Compliance requirementsAt a minimum the role will require you to:Place the interest of Janus Henderson's Clients first, act in accordance with TCF (Treating Customers Fairly) principlesUnderstand and follow laws and regulations applicable for your role, seeking the help of your supervising manager or Compliance if additional guidance is requiredUnderstand and abide by all Janus Henderson policies applicable to your role, and seek support/guidance of the policy owner guidance when requiredYou are ultimately accountable for your actions and responsible for seeking further information on any or all of the above as necessary.Janus Henderson (including its subsidiaries) will not maintain existing or sponsor new industry registrations or licenses where not supported by an employee's job functions (as determined by Janus Henderson at its sole discretion).All applicants must be willing to comply with the provisions of Janus Henderson Investment Advisory Code of Ethics related to personal securities activities and other disclosure and certification requirements, including past political contributions and political activities.
