Our challenge
Our Digital Innovation & Transformation team is working with clients to lead them through the digital revolution. Realizing their digital innovation strategies and programmes is a key focus area. We are working with clients to help them set up their innovation labs and Centres of Excellence (CoE), gain value from innovation partnerships, develop proofs of concept and Minimum Viable Products (MVP) around new and emerging technologies, and implement digital solutions. Throughout this process, we serve as strategic advisors on how to apply innovation to domain-specific use cases for the financial services industry, with the business challenge always at the heart of the programme. We partner with our digital and technology teams to deliver solutions from future state vision and concept to large scale implementation.
Title: UX Engineer
Location: London, UK likely travel to Sheffield.
What you will be doing:
- As UX Engineer, you will translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experience.
- You will work with the Solution Architect, Product Owner and other engineers to facilitate the product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for the model execution platform.
- Ability to parse and manipulate XML and JSON.
- In-depth knowledge of web applications, architecture, and RESTful API interaction
- A portfolio that demonstrates strength in visual design and experience designing modern, interactive UIs, highlighting your process and design solutions.
- Skilled in interaction and visual design with the ability to continually improve quality across our products and user experiences.
- Knowledgeable and experienced in both generative and evaluative UX.
- Experience with source code repository Git and DevOPS tools for continues integration
- You will engage in the following activities - Build/Code/Front End engineering and execution
What you will bring to the role:
- At least 6 years of UI/UX Design and capable of designing low to high fidelity interfaces.
- Implement code, prioritizing clean design, scalability, modularity, and componentization.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and information architectures.
- Possess the following technical skills - HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular
- Experience building and maintaining APIs with RESTful web services
- Ability to work independently on specialized assignments within the context of project deliverables
- Take ownership of providing solutions and tools that iteratively increase engineering efficiencies.
- Design should help embed standard processes, systems and operational models into the BAU approach for end-to-end execution of stress tests, enabling the organisation to leverage global economies of scale
- Excellent communication skills & team player
Nice to Have:
- Google Cloud Platform based solutions
- Knowledge of Python/Java
- Experience of micro services architecture and design for user interfaces
