The Vendor Management team exists to support Janus Henderson global business partners in the oversight, coordination and management of third party vendors leveraged across business functions. Our team strives to manage risk while maximizing performance and cost efficiencies with third-party vendors.Overview of the roleThis role is passionate about supporting the Vendor Management Office (VMO). This program was developed to set global standards in risk and performance management of Janus Henderson Investor's critical vendors. The Vendor Management Program provides a framework to continually evaluate, monitor, and report performance and risk associated with vendors through a coordinated and consistent approach. The VMO provides governance towards the Firm's vendor management strategy, works with the internal business owners and external vendors to improve vendor performance and acts as a point of escalation when necessary. The Analyst position is tasked with maintaining key vendor management data and systems and documenting the VMO activities and findings. This role will be the key driver in maintaining our internal governance and metrics around ESG evaluation for our third-party vendors.Duties and responsibilitiesYou will:Assist in maintaining and leading the vendor management risk review and performance management schedulesOversee and maintain the internal database of vendor information including profile, services, spend and other notable contract informationFacilitate vendor risk oversight reviews by collaborating with internal risk groups as well as vendor contactsEffectively interface and partner with internal leaders to ensure alignment regarding program requirements, management strategy processes, and ongoing objectivesSupervise and report metrics for vendor performance, risk levels and external industry factors in accordance with global regulations and standard methodologiesAssist in building and maintaining the framework for vendor ESG oversight, reporting and risk mitigationLead change and evolution in the VMO approaches to ESG, notable regulations and other external factors influencing our vendor oversightCarry out additional duties as assignedSupervisory responsibilitiesNoTechnical skills and qualificationsHighly organized with the ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneouslyPrior experience in leading vendors or in the financial industryPrior contract or management of service level agreements experienceFamiliarity with basic ESG terminology and principlesAbility to work with and build relationships with various individuals at all levels of the companyAbility to coordinate projects encompassing multiple departments and individualsExcellent written, verbal and interpersonal skillsEnjoys working in a close team environmentHighly proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPointAbility to build and analyze reports focusing on multi-year trendsCompetencies requiredIn addition to putting clients first, acting like an owner, and succeeding as a team, the competencies for this role include:Some experience in vendor management, procurement or financeBachelor's degreeOngoing competence in the role to be assessed, in line with applicable regulatory requirements, by:Annual performance appraisalCompletion of all assigned compliance trainingCompliance requirementsAt a minimum the role will require you to:Place the interest of Janus Henderson's Clients first, act in accordance with TCF (Treating Customers Fairly) principlesUnderstand and follow laws and regulations applicable for your role, seeking the help of your supervising manager or Compliance if additional guidance is requiredUnderstand and abide by all Janus Henderson policies applicable to your role, and seek support/guidance of the policy owner guidance when requiredYou are ultimately accountable for your actions and responsible for seeking further information on any or all of the above as necessaryJanus Henderson (including its subsidiaries) will not maintain existing or sponsor new industry registrations or licenses where not supported by an employee's job functions (as determined by Janus Henderson at its sole discretion).All applicants must be willing to comply with the provisions of Janus Henderson Investment Advisory Code of Ethics related to personal securities activities and other disclosure and certification requirements, including past political contributions and political activities.
