We have a superb opportunity for a Portfolio Engineer (PE) to join our London-based ETF and Index Investments team. You'll be responsible for all aspects of index equity portfolio engineering, including the day to day portfolio management of our index funds, risk and performance analysis and business process reengineering. We're looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference and have the know-how to make it happen. We're looking for both Students of the Market and Students of Technology!. Your Responsibilities. The responsibilities our PEs are given include: Daily management of our index equity portfolios to ensure that corporate actions, index rebalances and cash flows are correctly traded. Performance and risk management. Helping to launch new funds and make changes to existing ones. Building our next generation investment platform. Working alongside our Product Strategy team to help respond to client queries and participating in client review and new business pitches. Contributing positively to our culture and supporting diversity, equity and inclusion. You Have. We're looking for experienced individuals who have: Index Equity PM with 3-5 years experience. Portfolio construction experience managing segregated index equity portfolios or ETFs (including knowledge of ETF ecosystem and servicing). Knowledge of index methodologies from multiple providers; MSCI, FTSE, STOXX, S&P. Understanding of corporate action methodologies and rebalance trading strategies. Able to support strategy and client facing teams with ad-hoc portfolio analysis and bespoke reporting. Familiar with portfolio onboarding/implementation lifecycle and transition management. Detailed understanding of portfolio level performance and attribution. Technology skills (Python, VBA) and application skills (Aladdin, Bloomberg, Factset) viewed favourably. Skills/Qualifications: The aptitudes we look for in our PEs include: High attention to detail and accountability. The ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A desire to work collaboratively and great relationship-building skills. Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills: This role is within the scope of the Senior Manager and Certification Regime(SMCR): Key Regulatory Obligations: The successful candidate will be subject to both the Individual Conduct Rules and the Fitness and Propriety Rules of the FCA.
