The award-winning Science Museum is not only famous for its unrivalled collections but also for its visitor care. The Visitor Experience department is an integral part of our group which demands the highest standards of customer service to maximise the customers' enjoyment of the museum. Our Visitor Experience department is responsible for running the Information Desk, Call Centre, IMAX Theatre, Simulators, Cloakroom, working at our Temporary Exhibitions and Wonderlab: The Equinor Gallery, but also covering Reception desks and supporting other activities in our Enterprises and Visitor Experience areas.

To support this work, we are now recruiting into a Visitor Experience Assistant role (28 hours pw including working 1 weekend in 2) at the Science Museum on a permanent basis. As Visitor Experience Assistant, you will deliver industry leading customer service, handle sales and cash, manage queues, usher customers, promote Gift-Aid, donations and provide information where necessary. You will be required to proactively up-sell Museum's attractions to all customers to meet departmental sales targets.

Joining us, you will excel as part of a pro-active team, have excellent communication and presentation skills and achieve excellent standards. You will have excellent customer service and the ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences. You will be a strong team player who enjoys interacting with members of the public of all ages.
