Job description

Are you experienced in managing staff rotas? Can you solve problems effectively?

The award-winning Science Museum is not only famous for its unrivalled collections but also for its visitor care. The Visitor Experience department plays an integral part of our group which demands the highest standards of customer service to maximise the customers' enjoyment of the museum.

In joining the Visitor Experience team at the Science Museum, you will play a key role in making a significant difference to the experience of over 3 million museum visitors a year.

The Visitor Experience team are looking for a diligent Resource Co-ordinator who can ensure that the required staffing and supporting resources are in place to run the museum's daily visitor operations to a world class standard. You will support the Visitor Experience Operations Manager by providing analysis, insight, and recommending changes which will improve efficiency which will contribute to efficiencies, cost savings and effective staff management. You will also support the operational aspects of the team's functions by assisting in scheduling staffing for our corporate events, lead in stock counts and assist in revenue activity such data inputting and ticketing set ups.

Joining us, you will hold experience of managing staff rotas for large teams, along with good experience of using a range of office software, including Excel. You will be able to use your initiative to solve problems, and will be able to work effectively in a large, diverse team as well as on your own.
