Rhyl Community Primary School is a very happy school with genuinely fantastic staff and really lovely children. We are a two form entry primary school with a large Nursery across two school sites. We have a high number of children with wide ranging needs and are strongly committed to inclusion for everyone. We want our pupils to have the highest aspirations and the highest achievement possible. Our children are well-motivated, enthusiastic and eager to learn and they benefit from a broad, creative and enriched curriculum. We have developed an exciting crosscurricular and creative curriculum which provides meaningful learning experiences for all of our children.

The school has begun an exciting phase of development from this September which includes the development of Rhyl as an extended school over two sites. This will include a new children's centre, a 2-year old provision and a community hub as well as the extension of our already excellent inclusive provision.

We have an award winning kitchen garden and teaching kitchen and work closely with the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation to promote growing and cooking within the curriculum as well as with Giorgio Locatelli and the Ritz who have adopted the school and run workshops with the children. Music is integral to all that we do and we have won many awards as well as having close partnerships with the London Symphony Orchestra and the Barbican. Literacy and reading are the foundation of our curriculum which is a theme based approach and provides dedicated opportunities for children to learn through the expressive arts as well as through regular visits to London venues.
