Head of Retail
Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week
Salary: £52,020 per annum

The Opportunity
Westminster Abbey's retail operation is one of the most successful in the heritage sector and it has many opportunities for growth over the coming years in support of the strategic goals of the Abbey. We have an excellent opportunity for a Head of Retail with the experience and energy to provide strategic direction and leadership to this thriving business at the heart of one of the most iconic institutions in the country.
This role will provide senior leadership for our retail team and drive forward a customer-centric retail strategy to increase the profitability of the Abbey shops, develop and expand online trading opportunities and put customers and visitors at the centre of everything we do.
With a strong track record in senior retail store management, ideally with experience in the cultural sector, this person will lead the retail team, fulfil commercial objectives, develop a high quality product range and ensure the shops are a memorable part of the visitor experience. You will seek to optimise retail sales and profit through well-developed systems and structures, utilising management information to deliver budgets and forecasts. You will nurture and develop a high performing retail team.
This role requires a highly committed and confident individual with excellent facilitation and collaborative skills, a passion for retail, and integrity and commitment to the Abbey's values.
