Job description

A SEMH School based in Islington are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and dynamic Primary Teacher to join them for January 2022. The School are looking for a confident and experienced Key Stage 2 teacher with demonstrable love for their subject who has effective behaviour management skills to join them on a full time, long term basis. There is also the potential for this role to develop into a permanent job.

The ideal teacher will be energetic and creative and be able to motivate and inspire their pupils and spark a love for learning. The role is to teach a class with a maximum of 8 students in Key Stage 2. The school follow the full National Curriculum and this KS2 class all learn at Year 3 or 4 level. There are multiple years in one class from Year 3 - 6 and all students have SEMH and or ASD with behavioural needs, so the successful teacher will need to have strong behaviour management skills and experience. Teaching Assistants will be supporting within the class to help students engage in lessons and to manage any behavioural issues to ensure lessons run smoothly and students make progress.
The school are ideally looking for a qualified teacher with experience teaching in UK schools, strong behavioural management and a good command of written and spoken English and literacy skills. Team Teach training is highly desirable but not essential.

This is a full-time role to start in January 2022 and will continue on for the rest of the academic year.

Pay - £180 - £22- a day

• Must demonstrate effective behaviour management skill/ experience with challenging behaviour or SEMH
• Team Teach- not essential but highly desirable.
