*Research and Development Portfolio Manager*
*3-month contract*
*26-30 per hour*
*Location: London*

If so, then you may have the ability to be successful in this Research and Development Portfolio Manager role. The role will be playing a crucial part in an NHS hosted research study. The ideal candidate will have strong team-working and networking skills, be an excellent relationship builder and have demonstrable experience in report writing and undertaking analysis.
*Key responsibilities:*
-Dealing with aspects of research governance
-Correspondence with sponsors and stakeholders
-Working collaborate with the CRF team, all internal support departs and finance
-To be responsible for co-ordinating the efficient implementation of the R&D policy and standard operating procedures and processes relating to administration of the research in accordance with the NIHR Research Service Framework.
-Upload all required study information to national and other systems and to lead on governance and quality issues pertaining to health research.
-Process project submissions to the Research and Ethics Committees and coordinate applications to external funding bodies.
-Administration and key membership to the Research Management Committee and disease portfolio groups.
*Essential:*
-Masters in appropriate discipline or equivalent comparable experience
-DBS checked
-Experience working within the NHS or governance
-Compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act (1974)
-Previous proven experience in a research and development setting.
-Experience of working with academic and clinical researchers
-Thorough understanding of research landscape, including metrics, critical success factors and overcoming barriers to success.
-Strong understanding of research concepts, methodologies, and principles.
-Working within a clinical academic setting and understanding of key processes and systems.
