Job description

Our client is a UKAS accredited asbestos consultancy and is one of the top players within the asbestos industry. Due to consistent growth and business requirements, they are currently seeking to recruit a high calibre, committed, flexible and multi-skilled Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst, based in and around the Croydon to cover a mixed portfolio of contracts. Consideration will also be given to applicants who hold the P402/P403 looking to gain further P certs. Applications will be considered from Dartford, Epsom, Horley, Slough and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

The applicant must have attained the P402/P403/P404 asbestos qualifications or the equivalent RSPH certificate.

Must have hands on experience in asbestos surveying or asbestos air-monitoring and within the asbestos industry.

Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Must be familiar with the Health and Safety pertaining to asbestos.

Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office.

Must have good client-facing and organizational skills.

Key Tasks:

Carrying out asbestos smoke, background, leak, reassurance, visual 4 stage clearance and re-occupation and personal air-testing.

Monitoring asbestos contractors on site carrying out asbestos removal work and ensuring that they adhere to the Health & Safety procedures with regards to asbestos.

Carrying out asbestos Management and Refurbishment/Demolition surveys on various buildings, including commercial and industrial site bases.

Collating and producing comprehensive asbestos reports as and when required.

Liaising with clients on a regular basis - building a good working rapport with clients.

Requirements/Attributes:

Overall, the post-holder will be an all-rounder, flexible have good work ethic and at the same time have the ability to carry out the work effectively and within time frame.

Will be flexible with regards to travelling to sites.
