Electronics Design Engineer - Medical Devices

Croydon

Salary up to £45k + Benefits

Do you have experience working in Electronic Design with knowledge of hardware and experience of PCB design and layout? Do you want to work for a market leading medical device company who have an excellent reputation for developing their employees? If so, this is the opportunity for you!

We are recruiting an Electronics Design Engineer for a leading medical devices company who specialise within the critical care market. The position will be based from the company's head office in Croydon and will be reporting to the Electronics Design Team Leader.

This position will be responsible for undertaking product requirements analysis and the specification process, ensuring that any development considerations are raised during the initial stages of the project and on an ongoing basis. It will also include the development of new products, designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety, reliability and throughput.

Working collaboratively with team members in an Iterative development environment, the successful candidate will require a 'can do' approach focused on team orientated development.

They will be able to take designs from concept through to manufacturing while demonstrating compliance to applicable standards. They will possess a passion for learning new technologies whilst catering for legacy systems and have demonstrable experience of the full product lifecycle (Requirements capture, analysis, design, development, and test).

Requirements:

* BSc and or MSc in Electronic Engineering or other relevant degree

* Substantial experience working in Electronic Design both Digital and Analog

* Knowledge of hardware and experience of PCB design and layout.

* Experience of design for manufacturing, including board and subsystem testing

* Firmware programming experience in C or C++

* Experience in the preparation of requirement, design and test specifications

* A high standard of technical documentation

* Preferably experience from the medical devices industry, or other highly regulated industries such as aerospace or automotive
