Full responsibility for the development and performance of all Finance functions, ensuring they effectively support the changing needs of the organisation. There will be the opportunity to take a lead in the development and improvement of the finance function, ensuring it effectively supports the changing needs of the organisation, allowing the company to achieve its overall strategic objectives. The role is currently home based, with an expectation to be able to work flexibly in the office as required.

Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Director key duties include managing a team of three staff, financial reporting including management and statutory accounts, ensure adequate records are maintained for VAT accounting, prepare quarterly \/ monthly VAT return, management of the fixed asset registers for the company, manage the cashflow projections, maintain cashflow plans for weekly and three-yearly cashflow forecast, maintain cash flow by reviewing banking activity and reconciling monthly reports, supervise the Senior Finance Officer with the production of the monthly payroll, deputise for the Finance Director as required, improve efficiency and effectiveness of own reports and processes, seek ways of automating the production of management information from source systems and manage ad hoc projects.

What you'll need to succeed
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or qualified by experience, ideally have charity, education or housing sector experience. Previous experience of the above duties including staff management.
