About the Company:

My client is a Mechanical Design and installation Specialist, offering a vast range of Mechanical services. This client offers a comprehensive service throughout multiple sectors of the construction industry including commercial and healthcare. Working with well-established Main Contractors, this clients has steadily grown since their incorporation in 1998. This is an opportunity to join a business who have secured a number of multi-million pound projects in London, and are seeking to bring in driven people to our team promising interesting and challenging work within a supportive environment.

About the Role:

The appointed candidate will be responsible for compiling mechanical estimates for the company's projects, working out how much a project is likely to cost and create budgets accordingly. The role will also include assessing material, labour and equipment required and analysing different quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.

* preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client;

* performing risk and value management and cost control;

* advising on procurement strategy;

* identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks;

* preparing and analysing costing's for tenders;

* seeking funding sources and submitting bids;

* allocating work to subcontractors;

* providing advice on contractual claims;

* analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports;

* valuing completed work and arranging payments;

* maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use;

* carrying out feasibility studies;

* writing reports;

* preparing and submitting final accounts;

* making valuations;

* arranging payments to suppliers and contractors;

* providing advice and forecasts about costs;

Candidate Requirements:

* Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services Engineering or equivalent

* Technically competent with a good understanding of mechanical and electrical installation methods and pricing

* Must have minimum 5 years Mechanical Estimating experience, preferably with experience working on projects worth over £10M or more

* Experience on large commercial projects

* Strong mathematical and IT skills

* Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point

About the Benefits and Reward:

Salary will be agreed with each individual on a case-by-case basis depending on previous experience. As a rough guideline I will be targeting individuals whose annual salary is within £45K to £55K. All reasonable travel expenses will be included and you will receive a company works package
