Academic Programme Coordinator\/ Manager Games Programming and Web departmentLondon campus, Haggerston E8Permanent: Full-time, 40 hours per weekUp to 35,000 (depending on experience)

Our client is a diversified global education provider that offers an extensive range of educational services for students and professionals including university programmes and workforce education.

They are looking for a knowledgeable and engaging Academic Manager to manage and run the Games Programming and Web department in London. The ability to supervise and guide students through individualised final projects at level 5 and 6 is also desirable.

You must have experience in both teaching either of these programmes and managing an academic team to be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the delivery of Games Programming and Web degree\/ diploma programmes, ensuring that these are delivered in an engaging way through a variety of pedagogical methods.

You will be teaching a minimum 12 hours per week on the programme.
Ensure appropriate and timely timetabling, management of resources and fostering of a culture of inquisitive learning and teaching practice with your team.
Ensure that all assessments are marked on time and useful, on-going feedback is provided to students.

Advise on teaching resource needs, industry practice and pedagogic approach to the programme.
Engage in networking, industry, recruitment and outreach events throughout the year.
Essential criteria:

Masters degree in a related disciplinary, or Hons degree and a PG Cert HE\/ HEA Membership, or significant industry experience, with demonstrable evidence of or willingness to complete appropriate professional development.

Specialisms must include Game Design or Web, with appropriate experience in industry software\/ hardware.

Management within the field of education and teaching experience, including the creation of session plans and preparation of materials.
Demonstrated student service orientation.
Ability to prioritise and manage competing demands.
Full working rights for the UK. This role is fully based on Campus.

Therefore, you must live within commutable distance to London (Haggerston) campus
Desirable Criteria:

Ability to create and build on industry links.
Experience in project-based learning, flipped classroom, using technology in learning, including VLE and other similar forms of facilitating learning.

Specialisms can include Unity, C#, C++, A.I., Game Optimisation, Mobile Development (Android &\/or Swift), VR & AR, Graphics Programming, VFX pipeline and workflows, or Web Design \/ Graphic Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Wireframing.
