Student Support OfficerLondon campus, Haggerston E8Permanent: Full-time, 40 hours per weekUp to 23,000 (depending on experience)

Our client is a diversified global education provider that offers an extensive range of educational services for students and professionals including university programmes and workforce education.

They arelooking for an enthusiastic, customer service-centric, team player to join them and be a key, visible member of the Student Support team.The role is the front of house campus lead for ensuring a warm campus welcome, student engagement, answering enquiries, managing permitted visitor access to the premises and subsequent records, as well as being involved in important health and safety activities.

Also maintaining and updating student records and data, producing accurate reports and using systems and processes effectively is crucial, as well as being a key participant in open events, campus activities, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

Creating an energetic, warm and welcoming environment for our staff, students and visitors, providing an exemplary service to all.
Maintaining and updating accurate and compliant student records and timetable, supporting with administration and procurement processes.

Work with faculty to ensure information is ready for Assessment Panels and Boards, taking meeting minutes where requested.
Organising and supporting activities and engagement events, such as induction, enrolment, open days which generates positive word of mouth and creates a positive student community.

Handling and resolving student enquiries.
Supporting with basic Campus Health and Safety requirements.
Providing careers support information.
Essential criteria:

Experience of working in a front of house customer service environment.
Empathetic and discreet, understands confidentiality and privacy in respect to personal data and information
Professional appearance and outstanding customer service.

Strong administrative and excellent verbal \/written communication skills.
Organised, systems oriented with meticulous attention to detail.
Proficient in use of technology, databases and office software, i.e. Microsoft Office\/ Google, and data management systems.

Ability to work on own initiative and remain calm in emergency situations.
A team player, who can prioritise and manage competing demands, and willingness to step in to help and support others.
Must have rights to work in the UK and live within commutable distance to London (Haggerston) campus.
Desirable Criteria:

Experience working with students in a learning support\/ pastoral\/ academic support role.

Experience of working within Careers Advice and Guidance
