Role Description
We're looking for a proactive, strategic, and driven person to join Cheddar's marketing and brand team as our partnerships manager.
The role has a direct impact on defining Cheddar's success and brand through inventive marketing programs and initiatives through strategic partnerships. This individual would work alongside our growing marketing team to support the development and execution of partnerships that drive both awareness and the use of our products. They will also oversee the day-to-day management of specific channels, delivering best-in-class marketing programs and content for new and existing customers.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated marketing expert capable of delivering breakthrough concepts in support of strategic marketing initiatives aimed at acquiring Gen-Z and Millennial users. The person in this role will have a major impact on Cheddar's success and credibility, elevating our brand image, driving product use, and assisting in personalising our brand impact. When establishing partnerships, being well-versed in negotiating is key.
Role and Responsibilities
Help bring products to life in new, creative, and inventive ways through some of Cheddar's primary channels, as well as those of new and existing strategic partners
Develop new content ideas, strategies, and campaigns to grow and engage our user base
Own the day-to-day management of social media channels for partnership programs
Work closely with our marketing and design teams to ideate and shape content
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders across engineering, design, legal, finance, and product to build & deploy campaigns
Track and measure the effectiveness of various campaigns and partnerships
Build out a strategic content calendar for our partnership channels
Promote our brand presence and engage with new, diverse sets of channels and creators relevant to acquisition plans.
Seek out and qualify partnership opportunities
Maximize existing relationships and manage activation deliverables with key partners
Share weekly insights and key analysis with the broader marketing team and senior management
Experience
Marketing, branding, creative strategy, or partnership experience (preferably in a start-up/growth organisation in fintech or technology)
Proven track record of delivering user acquisition growth through partnerships
A deep understanding of app user behaviour, trends, and viral content
Creative problem-solving skills with a scrappy determination to do more with less
Incredible attention to detail and organizational skills
Degree in marketing preferable, especially in lieu of relevant experience
Strong organizational and time management skills, and an ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously that are deadline sensitive
Excellent writing, communications, negotiation and analytical skills
The ability to garner support from internal experts and external partners to position Cheddar's product against the competition
Ability to collaborate across multiple groups and understand the value of working as a team
Self-starter, will take initiative with new projects with a willingness to make 'cold calls'
The ability to adapt to new situations quickly and think on your feet
