Job description

Spencer Clarke Group are working alongside a local authority in Haringey to appoint a talented Technical Asset & Compliance Officer on a contract basis.

As a Technical Asset & Compliance Officer, you'll play a vital role in overseeing and management of the statutory compliance operations and assurance monitoring across the school estate on behalf of Haringey Council

About the role:

Based in at home & in Haringey you will be tasked with:

Site visits to review on site compliance and safety level including review of documentation held
Assurance Monitoring and Gathering of statutory compliance testing and servicing certification and other associated information as required.
Review of documentation for correct completion and compliance with regulatory requirements, safety level ratings and identifying remedial works requirements.
Working in conjunction with the technical services team to ensure remedial works are undertaken to a compliant standard and within identified timelines to ensure 100% compliance at all times (with the technical services team on the school estate).
General advice and assistance to the school's site staff regarding the compliance testing and remedial works
Review policies and process periodically to keep up dated to any regulation changes
work with all stakeholders to build a culture of safety and compliance first alongside customer satisfaction
Experience of working within a Local Authority, Commercial FM team or Housing association
Ability to set and manage workload priorities
Review of quoted works to ensure value for money is achieved at all time without a reduction in delivery quality
About you:

A recognised qualification in a Mechanical & Electrical discipline at level 3 or above desirable.
Working Knowledge of Gas Safety, Fire Safety, Electrical Safety, Water Hygiene Safety, Asbestos Management, Lift Safety
Solid background and experience in managing/overseeing statutory compliance regimes within the corporate & commercial sector
Excellent English literacy, report writing and communication skills
Ability and experience in use varying Microsoft software packages and to work analytically
Ability to understand technical documentation and design criteria and to undertake site visits to confirm compliance to design criteria

What's on offer

Salary: £350 to £400 per day (negotiable based on experience)

Contract type: on going

Hours: 09:00-17:00 Monday to Friday

Working arrangements: Home based with occasional site visits
